Sakai Refinery is located in the center of the coastal area of Sakai City, adjacent to the southern part of Osaka, the largest commercial region in western Japan. The refinery’s shipping terminal is one of the largest in Japan. The first drum loading system in the country was introduced here, facilitating environmental protection and improved safety while enabling greater speed in the loading process. The energy efficiency of the refinery is also one of the best in the country.
